Perimeter Ride 2012 Planning Group

The Perimeter Ride has been going for a solid decade and is an important first century for a lot of people who might not try such a thing without the CTA bail-out option. Also, it's awesome! Nature trails, oddball sights along the way, interesting food options and an easy pace for the moderately hardcore.

The venerable John Greenfield has been running it all these years, but he wants to step away and focus on developing new rides which will surely be fantastic.  Stay tuned for those, he's got some interesting ideas up his sleeve.

So--folks who love the Perimeter Ride, let's keep it going!  Weigh in here and we'll hammer down the details and post it as an event.

I should be getting the old maps from the man himself soon. I was looking at at a full=100mi pre-ride. I look forward to the BBQ, but a full pre-ride needs to be done at some point.

Martin's in!  Outstanding!  Come up for cookout at our place up north on Saturday and we can check out the NE corner of the route after dark maybe.

Jesus, Ryan! You scared the crap out of me!

Duppie--yes, but maybe in two stages.  I don't wanna take a bunch of folks to places I've only been twice without making sure there isn't some stretch of construction or whatever we can avoid.

Also, it'd be cool if someone had a good idea for an image we could make into a spoke card.  I think this'll be Perimeter Ride #11, right?  Always been a lucky number for me.

I'm am down with 9/29. It dosen't interfere with Marauders, which, even if it did, we wouldn't have changed anyway.

I would also be available to pre-ride Sat. I have missed the last two, but have done 4 in the past.

I'll be there in spirit - haunting, ghostly, out-of-state spirit!  BOO!

Will there be a test ride before the perimeter ride?

Come after, Kevin.  We'll still be up.

Lee's Eccentric Art Ride is from 1-6pm on Saturday (ending at Big Chicks, no less). I have a conflict.
