Epic find, Bedno!
A bit delayed, but here it is! Our last meeting notes: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0UysX1wq-AyMlBXTE5NSmlqZVU
Of particular importance is the subgroup work by January 5th.
I thought it was noteworthy (shows popular awareness) that in the recent Family Guy episode (#199 s11e4 2012.11.11 "Yug Ylimaf"), the epic chicken battle (backwards due to Stewie's time machine) begins (ends) with a dooring (10:16-11:40)

I think Brendan did say that it is the law to look, since if you cause an accident with your door you are at fault - ergo you didnt 'Look'.
I am going to post the survey today with the 'its the law' as a apart of it.
No word back from two people in NYC I asked about the NYC DOT decal. Will follow up.
Hey group - did we ever come to a decision on whether or not "it's the law" should be included? I'm still on the fence about it - especially since it's technically not the law to look. I really think the slogan should be short and sweet so it's easy to remember.
I haven't approached Jesse White's office yet, as I'm not sure yet what we need from him (inclusion in Motorist's Rules of the Road, ditto for Bicycle Rules of the Road, allow us to put posters and/or flyers at driver's license facilities, etc.). I went online and found there is a reference to dooring in the Motorist Rules, which surprised me as I thought dooring was a Chicago statute, not state. I'll dig deeper when I have more time. I'll also check in with Evanston to see if we can piggyback efforts with Chicago (though Chicago-specific laws on our flyers might be a problem there.)
Thanks!
