Is the carding for April 6th (sat.) still on? I would hav to miss it as I have training for Election work.

Sorry but its money fer me.

Keep me posted on getting some cards for a Metra stop blitz. Also maybe a banner for catching eyes at fixed place carding/info blitz like Metra stops or schools and the like while we are passing out cards.

sticker from australia:

also - at the National Bike Summit- NYC mentioned that their LOOK stickers are available for purchase to use anywhere! seems that would be the best way to go... and unify the LOOK campaign across major cities.

Based on both personal experience, the reported doorings map (http://www.wbez.org/news/map-where-are-chicagos-bike-dooring-accide...), and foot traffic, for non-school areas on Saturdays, I propose:

Clark St in Andersonville (it is a MINEFIELD between 10-1-ish on Saturdays, between opening doors, taxis and parking/unparking cars)

Lincoln Ave, between Addison and Belmont, and around Irving Park (possibly two separate blitzes)

Belmont/Sheffield/Clark/Halsted area

Fullteron/Lincoln/Halsted/Clark area

Milwaukee, between Fullerton and Armitage

North and Wells

State and Ohio and/or Merch Mart area

Loop

Perhaps we could hit one of these every other Saturday or even every Saturday? Between all of us and outside folks, we might be able to get enough people to have a blitz every Saturday. Then we could also hit the schools during the week.

Cool, Aaron. Yes, let's plan some around schools on weekdays during drop-off/pick-up times, and also more in the non-school high-dooring areas, on weekends.

I am up for more blitzes

Lets plan one/some around schools in the morning or afternoon when the soccer moms are out and about!

(until we have hit all the crazy high-dooring areas that could use more than one leafleter)

What do you all think about doing these blitzes every 2 weeks instead of once a month? We could hit up more areas in a shorter amount of time... and there are a lot of areas to hit!

Yo Katie,

I could easily pass out a couple hundred cards on one day (afternoon commute) can we arrange a pick-up, or can I get them right from the printer? If they are accessible to me from up in Gladstone Park (just northwest of Jefferson Park...ya know where Milwuakee and Elston meet at the north end

I can easily hit the afternoon crowd at Jeff Park as they meander back to their cars and if anybody knows who to talk to I can see about hanging a banner while I'm there.

Catching drivers as they return to their cars and /or return home should have some positive message impact.

The parking for the lot at the station has slot numbes hanging from wires that could be used to also hang a banner/ signs if Mertra won't freak...who do we talk to about that?

Jeff-love the metro idea! Do you want to take charge on planning it?
