Pearl Izumi lobster gloves + glove liners = toasty fingers. Even today.

Check out the Pearl Izumi AmFIB Lobster Glove - wore them all last year including the many subzero days. They are $50-60 IIRC, but worth it.

They combine the idea of mittens and gloves to be both warm and functional on a bike at the same time.

This morning was AWESOME! Nobody on the road but me and the other idiots. TJ MAX had a great deal on toe warmers the other day, so I stocked up. Also, these gloves are a great value on Amazon http://bit.ly/60r3r7.
