Awesome! I'm excited to participate in future rides.

Very inspiring!!!! Miguel and I pedaled to a local trail head this morning and hiked up to a mirador, but only had some rain and 60 degree weather to contend with. If you can ride with kids in the winter, anything is possible. All the way from the Equator, I can feel the Chicago car-ocracy beginning to crumble!

Awesome!! How absolutely wonderful that folks showed up with their children even in the snow. And you even got a few photos!

So I was sitting alone on the park bench this morning trying to keep warm in the wet blowing snow when Karen Furlong rolled up and gave me an excuse to get up and break out the hot chocolate. And then Laurie showed and then Ruth and Jack and then more and more came out. Then we went for a ride, doing the complete route and when we got back there was another couple and their kids and a too friendly back lab to greet us! If one could ignore the wind and wet, it was quite a beautiful morning!

I agree with Karen. Say hypnotically speaking say Albany Park is the 1St. Saturday of each month , Rogers Park is 2nd. Saturday , Palmer Square / Logan Square is 3rd. Saturday. Or we just keep this as a hub For the Kidical Mass ride & sub. post each and every neighborhood ride.

I'd like to have June in Albany Park . See with this each neighborhood would be depraved of having a regular ride every month like the Wicker Park Critical Mass, North~Side Critical Mass. Point is: I do think that each and every neighborhood should have one on a regular basis. Maybe later on when they pick up in numbers why not combine two neighborhoods etc...

Normally I'd totally suck it up and go out in the snow, but I'm not supposed to be riding my bike anyway. And balloons are hard to twist in gloves. I'll definitely be at the next one. Sorry!

Latest forecast calls for rain/snow tonight switching to light snow sometime around 9 AM, with a 16 mph NNE wind and 36F. Hopefully the warm pavement won't ice up.

I expect I'll be out with just my tricycle and it's small weatherproof sound system and leave my trailer at home. Those with the sense to stay home I'll look forward to seeing you next month.

Now off to sleep so I can get up early.

I'd hate to be a fair-weather friend...but I think I'm gonna have to. Face paint, video, steel rims, and a princess do not go well with rain and snow and wind. But you have only gotten rid of me for a month...I'll be there next time. I love this event!

If the weather is bad tomorrow I will not make it down with my boys. I still try to keep our pedaling short for lousy weather with the little one...and since just getting to Palmer Square is a bit of a ride from the north prt of Rogers Park...well, I am sure you parents understand.
