An old friend from Michigan is visiting with his bike this week and very excited about attending his first Mass.
(insert Catholic jokes here...)
Well I know Joe will be making the September map and I was planning on helping out with that in whatever way he wants. And I really want to work on an October map so the next two months will have a new map for sure.
Maybe the derailleur next month should focus on the need for more map makers and how much better that Mass is when there is a competition of maps. Or at the very least just better with a map in general.
That random map idea's on my ToDo list, maybe even a future massup feature. But too hasty right now.
And yeah, I stopped mapping because of lots of hostility about cramping the anarchy. I'd debate that the planned ones piss off less drivers (but do we want that?).
Underwear ride should've been July or August, but Barbra's been super-busy I guess.

Maybe we'll end up doing whatever happens to be printed in the Derailleur. Or pretty much anything anyone throws together would do. I did last year's Buy Nothing Day route like four hours before mass.
hmm... I thought it was just apathy. When people have made maps, it's been mostly just recycling old maps.
Well, August ride is tomorrow. Not a lot of time to do anything other than recycle a map, perhaps with some nifty graphics by Spencer?
Map competition was stifled last year by organization naysayers who wanted to inject some level of impromptu inspiration into the rides. IMO this experiment has failed the rides have been confusing and left with a feeling of incompleteness.
It's time people start making new maps again! Anyone have one for August?
