I saw the CM write up in the paper for events today.
How long has that been happening?
Pretty cool

THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO MADE AND BROUGHT THE BALACLAVAS! Best thing that's happened to my winter wardrobe since last year.

I have to disagree. I felt frustrated that we were meandering around downtown, passing some locations twice and unable to build any real momentum. While it was cool too when we ascended those stairs, it also prevented some riders from following along. For example, I spoke with that one older gentleman who rides a tricycle (with the file cabinet on the back) and he said he lost the ride for awhile because he couldn't go up the stairs. It's something to think about.

Perhaps my pessismism is driven in part because it was the first "dark" ride and, given the holiday, there weren't many people in attendance. Out of frustration, I bailed around Halsted and North Avenue.

If I'm in Chicago later this month, I plan on attending the Xmas ride. Last year's ride (which took place the day after Christmas) was one of my favorite.

Did anybody carry a GPS to track where we road, sort of a post-map response?

IMO - I loved last months ride because of the lack of planning and maps. Anyone else vibe on that too? It was totally spontaneous and I even led for a lil while!
