I like drawing maps on http://www.bikely.com/ and the name you give the route will be part of the link. Here is Harrison's route with a couple of modifictions.

Ah, now I can see the map.

For a first attempt I'd say it looks good.

A couple of the long straights are a bit long although we have done longer. I think it's best to turn every mile or so. That helps keep the pace restrained and the mass tighter. It also reduces the amount of time we snarl traffic on any given roadway which helps limit road rage.

The one other thing is that most of our rides have been going north or northwest and I'm itching for a ride west or south.

.
This is a direct link to Harrison's map.

Obviously, I used TinyURL for it.

It isn't necessary, you can copy-and-paste the whole big thing that Harrison posted and paste it in your browser too.

Hey Harrison, shorten that link with bitly. Ning limits the number of characters members can use for certain things. It's annoying and it's something I have spent countless hours on back in the day trying to hack around (with success until they dropped their WebDAV). Anyway for more info on this fucktarded assmuchery, "Character limits are for the birds!" http://bit.ly/d3BATq

Hey guys, trying to get a route down for April. Anyone want to check out my idea and give me some feedback? it's an arbor day route. if we get this planned it would be great to get some people to take charge this month so we can mass up, etc.

Perhaps it's time we start using agitprop from the classics. You know help spread the original gospel. I was inspired by Critical Mass: Bicycling's Defiant Celebration almost ten years ago and it's left an indelible impression. Does anyone have a PDF?

Spencer, yes the UPOC Critical Mass list was a little slow to update at first, but by the time the mass neared lincoln park, I (we) were able to intercept the mass at lincoln and racine. Worked perfectly!

and thanks to text messages we managed to reconnect

You mean the text message UPOC Critical Mass list? Excellent! I am glad to hear that. For anyone else interested in this list you can send a txt message reading JOIN CHICM to 8762 and join the 159 other members each mass. : )

Or visit, http://www.upoc.com/group.jsp?group=chicm
