I have never seen anything by Park grease at West Town...

I would never use any vegetable based oil or grease as a lubricant.

White Lightning aka Clean Ride is a self cleaning wax based chain lube....I've used it for over 14 years from the old bmx days....

I think cicero and Pershing is the first suggestion I've seen for this mass. It's only about 9.5 miles, plus we could still stop by that wedding in the West Loop.

Though, Citgo isn't the same thing as BP. Perhaps we might be better off going to BP stations and shaming anyone who buys gas from them.

For grease there is an awesome CHEAP natural alternative, pure Jojoba. It's a liquid wax that'll never spoil so you can use it with your bearings and such. You can get Jojoba in almost any health food store or online for CHEAP.

West Town also uses some lube made here in Chicago but you don't need to go all fancy, you can make it yourself from just about anything in kitchen. http://www.envirowiki.info/Vegetable_oil

I use KY when I need lube

WD-40 = NOT a lubricant; might as well just piss on it for all the good WD-40 will do.

Don't lube your chain. Clean it off with WD-40 and leave it on as a rust preventative. Oil will just attact dirt which will grind down your chain.

lube it up, rub one out, and then join us on the ride - plenty of free porn on the web if it is taking you too long to finish....remember we leave around 6 :P

I'm going to oil my chain...
