Tommorrow is almost 60F, going out tommorow morning for 80 miles. Should be better than the other day. Hope I smell some cookies baking and some steak coming back from the North Shore

The air is warm, and blended in with the melting snow and old leaves is the faroff smell of church ladies making peanut butter sandwiches & brownies!
Early April I would say, soon as the temps are in the 50's or warmer. How big of a group are you used to being in 30-90 or say 100-180. Our own version of Critical mass. I would hope sooner than later and a meeting location.

I got out for a decent ride yesterday and I remember how much I miss it. When's the first big ride of the year? I'd love to get a training group going.
I plan on doing a century+ on most Sundays this spring/summer. My club usually heads out from Hyde Park to Willow Springs and then takes loops in and around Argonne labs, which allows some riders to go longer/faster, but everyone returns together.

All right! I just rode 100 from Fondulac, WI to Kenosha! Lots of hills too, and I camped out in the Milwaukee county parks - a bit illegally, but I coudn't make it to the next camp site before the sun went down (at 4pm) and so I just went for it. Anyone interested in guiding me towards a really good touring bike for really cheap (I'm a student). I need to figure out how to get a road bike with a triple crank in the front. Where does one find these used??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Haha!!! I agree with Leah, I love the look on people's faces when I tell them I do centuries...They must be thinking something in the order of "What the hell is wrong with this person? Who in their 'right' mind considers a 100 mile bicycle ride fun?"
