totally ate it on the way home. By the time I realized the front wheel had no traction, the wicked little beast dumped me. AHHH I love the wintertime.

We identified people to be "contacts" for those cities last month, which is progress, but getting them to keep the calendars updated is another story. Also as a relative newcomer you may not have a sense of how the current Chicago Bike Winter scene has developed and built upon past years' efforts-- it's reaping the fruits of its own past labor, to a large extent. The question should be "how can we help the other cities grow their bikewinter efforts."

Holy cow is Chicago Bike Winter beating the bejeezus out of Madison, Milwaukee and St. Louis in the calendar items! Way to go windy city. What's up Wisconsin? St. Louis?

Pogies question:
Does anyone here use pogies in the winter? If so, is theft a concern? I am thinking of them for my older son who rides to and from school. He is always losing his gloves and I need a solution.

First snow day of riding for the season. Yippee. And the first snow day of riding EVER for my 3. y.o. Man, was he excited.

As a reminder, you should generally not inflate your tires to their max PSI when there is snow on the ground.

Happy first snow!

Wake up and smell the snow!
It smells sweet.
