They're still certainly spendy -- but read the reviews: generally considered the nicest out there. Cheers,

Comment by Gina Black on December 12, 2009 at 4:59pm: Silk long undies, spandex over the legs, cotton over the spandex, knee high zippered boots (which I shirked last year but now make great sense) smartwool socks under Addidas soccer knee highs, pleated skirt, Russian issue wool nautical coat (or down ski coat), bunny fur ear warmers under a wool ski cap, two scarves, skinny gloves under heavy Polish wool mittens, aviators durng the day and clear safety goggles at night, and Burt's Bees lip balm. I'm warmer on my bike than in my apartment.

Todays Winter List of Layers
tank top, tank top, poly long sleeve, PI wind breaker, vest
scarf, balaclava, glasses (foggy!), underwear, long johns, corduroy knickers, 2 pairs socks, leg warmers, 2 pair gloves. Helmet. Shoes. No peripheral vision.
