Hey Julie...

Sorry I never got back to you on this.  I was healing last week.

I'll head this up.

Anyone interested in helping coordinate another BIke Winter volunteer night with the Night Ministry?

Info is below -

Here are some upcoming dates with the Youth Outreach Team: Tuesdays and Thursdays are in Lakeview (200 meals) and Wednesdays are in Roger’s Park.  Roger’s Park has grown quite a bit- we’re now suggesting meals for about 150 people there!

A big thank you to whoever gave a Bike Winter presentation at Logan Square Farmers Market in October 2009 (Gin?)- such a long time ago but it planted the seed in my mind that winter biking is doable and enjoyable. Even though it took me a few years to get really into it, I'm loving it so much now! Beats the gym any day. Also still using the fleece neck gaiter I got that day :)  BELATED THANK YOU!

There's a big polartec fleece sale on now at http://www.milldirecttextiles.com/

It's a good place to get really really nice fleece.

The Bike Winter Wimps want to make sure the record is set straight.

You may have been told today, December 21st,  is the first day of winter.   It's not.  It's the first day of the trend back towards spring.  Tomorrow will be longer, not shorter.

Winter is ENDING, not starting, today!

Length Of Visible Light:     10h 10m
Length of Day
9h 07m
Tomorrow will be 0m 0s shorter.

Heather Pfundstein from The Naperville Sun would like to speak to folks who live in Naperville who bike in the winter. Contact her at: hpfundstein@stmedianetwork.com

Thanks!
