Woohoo! Work:0, Bikes:1

We had no supervisors/managers at work today, and a co-worker had her birthday at the Globe. So after three beers coupled with 40+ degree temps, I decided to blow off work and enjoy the day 2-wheeled style for a while. I rode north on the lakefront path, enjoying a lil' tailwind most of the way, and am currently trying to talk myself in to heading back out.

Amazing what above-freezing and sunshine will do to a guy!

Isn't it hilarious what Chicago winter has done to us? Above 40F and we're shucking off all our clothes and going bananas.

I had a beautiful ride home with a tailwind the whole way. I treated myself by riding my fancy schmancy road bike today, and how delightful to barely feel it underneath me as I positively flew home.

Absolutely glorious. Rode down to the Green Eye for the calendar party and positively FLEW home. I may have to go back out for another ride tonight!

sweet. I was given the day off cause we're slow, and what a break. 40 felt like 70 after all that single digit, -wind chill junk. Got 25 rode miles in, tailwind out, face wind back. sure felt good to get out of the garage. Enjoy the weekend everyone!

I'm jealous. I was at work all day. Got out for a walk at lunchtime, and again to run an errand for work. Not exactly as nice as playing hooky and going for a ride.

Riding this afternoon was awesome - nice relaxing cruise around Beverly and Morgan Park. Maybe I'll go to Pullman tomorrow.
