The Chainlink

This is pretty cool.  I just got a post on the Evanston Bike Club Listserv that Wheel and Sprocket has set up an outdoor 24/7 workstand with an air hose and a couple of basic tools. Check out the picture. The post is below. If you have a failure and are anywhere in Evanston or anywhere near the Union Pacific Metra or the CTA you could get there as the store is a block from the Davis stops of both Metra and CTA.

The old Turin location, now Wheel and Sprocket has added a outdoor bike work station with tools next to the air hose.

Also tonight is the beginning of  their Grand Opening celebration extending through the weekend. Of particular interest to Evanston Bike Club members will be our new Pro Shop and Fit Studio on the mezzanine level and the new Community Work Station outside the shop with a bike stand, a few simple tools, and an air hose, all available 24 x 7 to get someone back on the road, as needed (see the attached photo).  At 6:00 Thursday evening they are also hosting a panel discussion on getting your kid(s) involved in bike racing.

Details on the Grand Opening Celebration are at http://wheelandsprocket.com/about/wheel-sprocket-inc.-comes-to-evanston-il.-pg1438.htm.

Very cool, indeed.  That outdoor work stand is a nice welcoming touch.
