Folks,
As part of my ongoing campaign to prove the suburbs are not a cultural wasteland I am leading TWO bike rides this weekend.
Friday, June 3: The Mission of Berwyn (folk) rock and roll ride
Depart from Palmer Square Park at 6:30; stop for a pint at a home brewer’s apartment in Garfield Park; dinner at the famous Depot American Diner, 5840 W. Roosevelt; head to Berwyn’s Friendly Tap, 6633 W. Roosevelt, where my folk rock band Ordinary People performs with the Last Kind Words; ride back to the city together at the end of the night or catch the nearby Blue Line.

More about Friday’s concert:
Join us next Friday, June 3, as my folk-rock band Ordinary People plays our first show outside the city limits in the cozy confines of Berwyn's Friendly Tap, 6633 W. Roosevelt. No cover. The tap is a mere four blocks from the Blue Line's Oak Park stop.
The Last Kind Words, featuring Chandelier Swingers mandolinist Kip Rainey, opens the evening at 9 pm; Ordinary People performs around 10 pm.
The Last Kind Words are a guitar/mandolin duo from Chicago. Geoff Farina plays guitar and sings. Kenneth P.W. Rainey plays mandolin and sings. Visit: http://thelastkindwords.com/
