You blew the red light east bound on Lawrence at Damen at 5:26 pm this evening.

There was enough time for the biker in front of me to make it half way into the intersection, northbound on Damen, before you came whizzing past my front wheel.

I yelled "You're an idiot!" at your big haired chick, self, and you looked back at me. I meant it!

I woulda testified for any of the cars, that managed to not kill you, if they had.

Keep riding like a tard!

love,

gabe

Witness bad behavior during your commute? Feel free to post. Maybe that lovely human can read it and think they are famous. Maybe you can also inspire the whole generation of kids to shower but we can start with small things.

This has happened to me 3 times in the past week.  I can only assume that a subset of Divvy riders have some perverse psychological need to pass a clearly faster cyclist and then delay the inevitable re-pass once the light turns green.  Is it that hard for them to accept the fact that a regular commuter on a road bike is perhaps a teensy bit faster than them?

I am passing a jogger on the left on the lakefront trail this morning. The oncoming lane has another rider doing the same. Just as we meet, a blonde female with black pants and a white, red-lettered t-shirt tries to pass me in the center. While realizing she has little room for this maneuver I hear a mewing sound as she panics and her wobbling bicycle passes me. No apologies. How she made it, I do not know. She put five people in danger and could have seriously injured or killed two. I wish I would have said, "If you caannot ride safely, do not ride at all," rather than, "&^#^ @^&% $^%#% ^^%&^ %#$& *$%*^& %$& #%!

Yikes. Along with being unable to determine intercept points yelling 'on your left' doesn't give you right of way, either.

Wow, this happened to me at the end of June, but didn't end so well. In my case it was also a blonde lady that passed me in the same circumstances and she knocked us both down. She got up and rode off just fine after making sure I wasn't "seriously" injured, but both of my wheels ended up needing to be replaced and I it turned out that broke my elbow. Couldn't ride for a month. Ugh. Do you remember what her bike looked like?

Trying to cross Clark in Lakeview is bad enough but standing in between cars with a baby!? You saw my look as I locked it up and skid to a stop, when I told you that's a good way to get hit you were appalled, oh my you never heard such language. No it's a fact I'm not saying I was going to hit you but maybe next time use a crosswalk while carrying your child.

There are too many of these entitled parents that think that because they carry a baby, they can use the baby as a shield.

Dear lady in the car heading South on Southport that almost hit me and then started screaming at me after I exclaimed, "whoa!" to warn her that she was about to hit me:

Thank for you motivating me to sprint to catch up to you. It felt great that I was eventually able to catch up to you by Lincoln even though you were trying to speed up to get away from me. Yes, I had nothing to say, just wanted to look over at you as I passed you to take my place at the light. Have a good day!

I swear there are few things more aggravating than being stopped at a stop sign with another rider a few feet to your right and having someone blow between you two just as a car with right of way is entering the intersection, forcing that driver to stop suddenly. Especially on Kinzie by the East Bank Club where there's tons of pedestrian traffic at the busy 4-way stop.

A halfhearted apology to the woman who squeezed me in the loop. It escelated quickly but you were just another driver who can't see a cyclist. You apoligized but when I told you to open your eyes and look and you told me to get off the street and to get away from your car welp that's when I needed to remind your dumb ass that I can and will legally ride in the street you stupid @$!#& ¿%#! You were just the last in a string of many today.
You were kinda cute.

It was a bad day for me yesterday (Friday) too - too many cars way too close.

#2 waiting at a light a luxury SUV was behind a cyclist and next to me, sorry he was in your way but we were being law abiding and waiting our turn but you felt it necessary to be sarcastic and entitled "hey biker dude could you move out of the way you don't own the road" I didn't have to chime in,he was doing a great job of ignoring you but that 9 second wait...was it really necessary to honk repeatedly. A-hole.
#3 the icing on the cake! Halsted construction zone you were so close at a light I put my hand out as to say " hang on,wait 15 seconds" my hand was over the passenger side of your windshield and as you were blasting your praise Jesus gospel music you decided to inch closer so you could then touch me with your car! Ok when the light changed I spit on your windshield...now you had it so since you're in such a hurry you found time to cut me off again blocking me then get out of your car and kick my bike. Then as you drove away my bike scraped the side of your car. Was it worth it?
