Anyone get anything cool and bike-related for birthday, wedding, or the holidays (Christmas, Hannukah, Eid, Festivas, or any other recent holiday)?

Santa time is bike (gear) time... woot!

I got a Garmin cadence sensor. I couldn't be more excited. :-)

I was very happy to get a pair of Moose Mitts from my sister.  Even cooler, they are handmade in our home town and they were being finished on Christmas Eve when she went to pick them up.

I tried them out on Sunday and Monday.  Even though they had ice on the outside by the time I finished, I rode comfortably without gloves the whole time (4+ hours in the teens).

Worth getting if you have problems with cold hands

Sweet! Congrats! Yes, I know that bike well. Hope it brings you as much happiness as it did for the previous owner. :-)

I got this as a Christmas gift to myself. Mine is not new and shiney like this picture, but it is good shape. Yasmeen, you will recognize it.

I turned my holiday cash into much needed fenders and helmet. Oh, and a bunch of books (yea!).

I gave my bicycle a thorough cleaning and a tune up.

Schwalbe Kojaks for my mountain bike (from the 1900's!) that is being slowly transformed to a commuter/touring ride. Can't wait for the matching tubes and an ice-free surface to give them a spin...

i got myself a wool chainlink jersey!!!! woot woot!!!!

I got the newly redesigned Osprey Momentum 30 backpack in screaming Orange to replace my >10 year old Camelbak.  I usually ride with panniers now, but my old backpack had seen better days and needed to be replaced.

Momentum 30

My sweetie got me a Zephyr HxM Bluetooth Heart Rate Monitor for giftmas which will be pretty cool to give me extra info that logs into Endomondo for each training ride.  I can even use it on my indoor trainer but I also want to get a Topeak PanoBike Bluetooth Smart Cadence and Speed Sensor to go with it for indoor use. That would pair nicely (lol) with the gift with my wife and my phone ;)

My mother-in-law got me a Avenir Woodsie Multi-Tool and even though I have 3 other rescue multi-tools it is nice having another one so I can keep one on each bike and not have to worry about not having it in my seat wedge/handlebar bag when I need it.   The wood handles are a little over the top but at least don't detract from the usefulness of the tool or add much weight.

Life is good.  For my birthday a few months back my sweetie got me a new Brooks B-17 Saddle.  Almost all the gifts I get are bikey in nature.  People just know...or maybe it is just the stuff on my Amazon wish list ;)

I got an Ortleib 'Rack Pack' bag that fits over my rear panniers.  Now I can carry a tent and pad without having to worry about rain, such as on this trip when I got soaked:

I also need to work on packing lighter...

While those are very cool, I would be constantly worried about getting the cape stuck in my chain/chainring! (sorry to be a buzzkill... just be careful riding with those caped-socks!)

I got bike socks too.  I can't wait to ride with them on. ( Yes, they actually have capes )

You're not the only one that noticed that about capes:
