Selling my all-around bike; great in the wet spring/fall, and through the winter (sealed internal-geared rear hub), but fast enough to be ridden through the nicer months as well, for commuting or longer distances.

Frame: restored Fuji 1975 special road racer (S10-S). Double-butted, lugged steel (a classic frame), recently powercoated by Heritage Cycles. Seattube 58cm, top tube 56cm. I'm 6ft and ride it comfortably; would fit someone a bit taller or a bit smaller easily with seatpost/stem adjustment.

Brand-new Velo Orange headset, Nitto Technomic threaded stem
Moustache bars (versatile for both city riding and longer distance)
New Tektro brake levers, Jtek bar-end shifter for the 8-speed hub

Brand-new Shimano cartridge bottom bracket
Single 46T crankset, 170cm cranks
Shimano Alfine 8 speed internally-geared hub
Rear wheel hand-built at Comrade Cycles
Full-coverage SKS fenders (with mud flaps)
Tektro caliper brakes

Included optionals that I can swap out if you prefer:
Pedals are currently Shimano PD-M324 (one side platform, one side clipless SPD)
Saddle is a Brooks Cambium C17 (slate color)

I also have a planet bike rear rack you can have (it's just not currently installed because I've been using a saddle bag).

Asking $850; pickup in Logan Square.

That's a nice bike!

Edit: I've reposted this on CL and dropped the price to $700. DM me if you're interested.

LOVE the fenders.  Your hands did the restoration?  Well played, sir.

Yup, it was a lot of fun. Those mid 70s frames are great to work with and I wouldn't be selling it if I hadn't bought an old brompton that's my new project.....
