Rapha Black Friday Ride, anyone?

I received an email from Rapha Chicago Club House staff about Friday ride.

Anyone going?

I know it will be freezing cold but want to try something new around the city as I always ride DPR trail or road around Barrington area, almost never around the city.

You should do it. I believe Troy is leading the ride and he's really nice. It's a great group of people and I think you'll really enjoy yourself. :-) Have fun!

I didn't get to chat with many people but Troy was great. I fell behind shortly after the group got on Lakefront path and had to cut my ride short (gosh, i suck). Troy tried to help me push but I just couldn't do it... Not sure if I would be ready for group ride any time soon...

No, you don't suck! That's how everyone starts out. And this is how you get better! Keep showing up, keep pushing yourself. You'll keep getting faster. If you can get a route ahead of time, you can always still do the ride and catch up with everyone when they stop.

Eventually, you'll be able to hang on with the best of them! :-)
