If you're taking Metra to either parade, be aware that they are allowing NO alcohol on trains on either day. Also, they are announcing on trains that, due to expected crowding, "bicycles may not be allowed" on those dates.

From Metra:

Alcohol Restrictions for 3/14/2015 & 3/15/2015

On Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15, no alcoholic beverages or smoking will be allowed on any Metra train all day.  Due to the increased ridership, bikes may not be allowed.  Metra will have extra service to accommodate passengers attending the St. Patricks Day Parade on Saturday March 14.

Note the "No Smoking" restriction. I wonder why they included this, since you can't smoke on Metra anytime.
