Hmmm, I'm not so sure that's a good resolution. If we accept that behavior then we are condoning it, which puts more of us at risk. I'm not suggesting you become aggressive, but you are certainly entitled to get scared and angry.
No yelling or whatever you are thinking here. Just no more stopping to take photos and lecture people how dangerous it is to open their doors in traffic. Just keep riding and reduce my internal cursing.
It's always an internal struggle, isn't it? What do we do to prevent this? What do we do so that we have an enjoyable ride and stay safe? I struggle with this every time I ride down Lincoln Ave towards downtown.
I think ultimately, the answer is enforcement. I have yet to find that scolding people on the street does anything more than get people angry and reactive (and they don't listen).
