This is a real bear on a trail....
He's probably trying to run back from Tennessee to the Rockies or Alaska where all the other grizzlies are.
The closest experience I've had to that was horseback riding years ago with a friend in a forest in central Pennsylvania. We'd heard from my friend's neighbor that there was a mama bear with cubs in the area. After riding a while in the forest, we knew the bear was nearby when all the animals suddenly went silent (no birds chirping, dead silence) and our horses and the dog refused to go any further. Their ears were swiveling around and they were nervously sniffing the air. Fortunately these were VERY calm horses. We turned around and went back the way we came. It was no surprise that the horses and dog were rather eager to get out of there. We were grateful that we didn't encounter the bear face to face.
