I've shared this in a few places. Thanks for the info.

I pass through that trail head intersection on my commute everyday.

This (Link) also happened around there a year ago.

Officers from the 17th District Police Department have informed me that an incident was reported on Peterson Avenue under the Sauganash Trail. Yesterday morning, October 1, a female was pushing a stroller on Peterson and was confronted by a male who made comments of a sexual nature and grabbed at her through her clothing.  The female told the offender that she was going to call the Police and the offender ran off.

Earlier yesterday, the police received calls and reports of a man, either naked or partially clothed, on or near the trail.  Responding police officers spoke to several of the callers.  The last sighting of the male offender was as he ran into Lincolnwood at the north end of the trail.

The offender is described as a male in his 20's.  He had dark curly hair, a mustache, and was about 5' 6".  When he was sighted with clothes, he had on loose fitting clothes.

The Chicago Police Department will continue to have extra attention on and near the trail by both uniformed and plain clothes officers and supervisors. They are also following up in the area to see if video can be recovered from businesses or private homes.  If you have a security device that may have captured video of the incident, please contact the 17th District Front Desk at 312-744-4410.

The Chicago Police Department stresses walking in pairs or groups and not going out alone.  Be aware of the surroundings by not wearing headphones while walking.  If you see someone or something suspicious, please call 911 immediately.

Recently, I met with the Sauganash Trail Committee who approved my suggestion to add a camera at the end of the trail, near Kostner and Bryn Mawr. I will continue to work closely with the 17th District, the Trail Committee and the Sauganash Park Supervisor.
