Maybe the title of "Ryne San Hamel courtroom update" would be more accurate.

(Chi Lowe: could you change the title of this thread to something like "Bobby Cann courtroom updates"?)

So in your estimation, that would be more accurate and preferable to: "Trial of Ryan San Hamel?"

Were you unable to attend?

Same room, 310?

What other decisions or steps were taken?

In particular wasn't the question of returning the car of San Hamel to be considered on the 8th court hearing?

Did anything else come up?

Leave the damn title of the thread alone, it's what we've been following and I'd rather see Bobby's name kept in front of everyone, he's who this is about.

Thanks Sarah.

Yes, that is accurate, John. Always could change but as of now it's been set for 12/20 at 10am.

I talked to someone who attended the November 8 hearing who believed the next one is Friday, December 20. Can anyone confirm this is accurate?

Yes.

(Thanks, John!)

I am a bit worried about the next hearing.   Its right before Christmas and it is important that a large turnout be present.   Defense lawyers like to try to get hearings right before Christmas as the perception is that the Judges tend to be far more "charitable" at the Holiday Season and are far more likely to "give a defendant a pass" or at least a less serious sentence.    If enough supporters of the victim are in the Court, the Judge is less likely to be "charitable".   The facts are pretty egregious in this matter, but if something "bad" (from our perspective) is going to happen, this is the hearing that presents the greatest chance for danger.

You are right.  "Right before Christmas" is a good time for the defense lawyers to try and get a break, hoping for sympathy and a loosening of support.

We all need to remember.

FYI, notice has just been received that another court date has been scheduled prior to the previously referenced Dec. 20th date (which is still on the books).

The next court date is Nov. 21, this Thursday, 10:00 a.m., room 301, 26th and California.

Thank you for the continued interest and support in this case.
