Thanks Tom, I have the same hope - better understanding and empathy for cyclists. Hopefully also normalizing cyclists in Chicago, and a realization that the Idaho stop actually makes sense. Dare to dream!

It's not like cops don't run red lights in non emergency situations as it is (in their cars) so I could see them running stop signs while seeing nothing hypocritical about ticketing cyclists who don't make a full stop.

I wish they'd send out a bike cop instead of an SUV cop when making accident reports for cyclists who get doored...
