Beware the Wet Seawalls

I saw two cyclists go down within a few minutes while they were riding on the seawall near Montrose Harbor. It looks just a little damp but was in fact very slippery. The first rider wound up with minor roadrash but his bike slid into the lake. The second went down much harder but his bike remained ashore.

I noticed this problem just this morning near McCormick Place where the LFT is detoured onto the sea-wall. The pavement was wet and it was dark, so you couldn't really tell. I didn't see anyone go down, but can see how it would happen. Really dicey situation that will get worse as the temps drop.
