Yeah, I posted this last night and then I took it down after I saw a discussion blow up on The Chainlink's Facebook page. It isn't as black and white as I wish it was. There are some thoughtful points made in that thread.

Imagine that. Some of the 100+ million law abiding gun owners in the U.S. might actually ride bicycles. In Illinois, there are ~1.5 million FOID holders, or roughly 15% of the adult population.

Being able to make more informed choices is not a bad thing, IMO.

America is flat-out psychotic about guns.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone invented a gatling gun mount for handlebars.
