I ordered these gaiters Friday. Could have used them today. Instead, I ended up hiding inside all day. I know, wrong thread for such a confession.
I just saw a pair of rain "chaps" that seem to get decent reviews. I have not tried them though.

Man, I really got to start putting my ideas into action instead of lazily watching others do it first. I want these AND the gaiters.

That is the right attitude. One problem that I have with Bike-winter is that it often becomes a peeing contest about who can ride in the lowest temperatures, worst snowstorm, etc.
I ride year round, but if the weather is too foul, or I am just too lazy (more likely reason), I will take the Metra. No need to put yourself at risk in an attempt to fit in.
