Hey, Just dropping a quick note here to say I am still around, still biking, and enjoying exploring D.C. on two wheels. Sorry I dropped off for a bit. I think after over 2.5 years of running The Chainlink, not taking vacations, and starting a new job (in a new city), I really needed a break. Sorry for the lack of warning and lack of emails.
There is a lot of love coming on the horizon. I am hoping to get settled (finally) into an apartment, transitioning CL to another member of the community for the day-to-day love, and planning for our big ten year anniversary.
If you want to be more involved, just drop me a note. I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for understanding - it was nice to just have that time without any pressure to come back so that I could adjust. My move has not been without numerous hiccups but still awesome anyways.

Congratulations on the successful move! Ride safe in DC!
Good luck!
However we may react to the things we read in the newspaper and however we may feel about people in Washington, this picture reassures me even if it is just a little.
That's the sweetest thing to say. Thank you. I'm surrounded by some pretty awesome people. There's a lot of good here.
100 mile loops on the Washington and Old Dominion Trail....GO!
WORTH IT. Get to Purcellville and have a break at the Purcellville Family Restaurant or Bicycles and Coffee and check out the many bike shops in town. I think Trail's End has some of the most expensive competition road bikes I have ever seen in a store. This is the Blue Ridge, so prepare for some hills - - but the trip back has some cozy spots along the way. By the way, all Fairfax Connector buses have bike racks so no actual commitment to complete a full century is really needed. Keep in mind however that in the past Metro rail has some very quirky rules about bikes and that the Silver Line is an exceedingly tedious adventure back to the city.
If you like long-distance rides, I do recommend the trail that goes straight from DC to Pittsburgh. 300 miles or so. If you can take a week off work it's worth it. Then Amtrak back to DC (or vice versa).
OMG are you working for the Donald or CiA or both.
The current administration is positively surrounded by a local population which absolutely reviles them. Check your percentages.
