A stealth river route from Wellington to Webster (almost)

Since we got a good response to last week's Grid Chicago post about the "secret" route from the Loop to division/Halsted, which led to Critical Mass taking the route last Friday, here's a travelogue of another little-used path along the river, this time from Wellington to Webster (sort-of):
