Cycling 4 Peace" will be held Saturday, September 13, 2014. As an official part of the Chicago Peace Day celebration, the purpose of Cycling 4 Peace is to demonstrate that a mindset of peace is the only way for healing. People from throughout the city will cycle to Ellis Park located at 535 E. 35th Street, where the “You Make the Difference” peace rally will be held. The ride/walk/run will act as a kickoff to raise seed money to create a Peace Center on the Southside.
The ride will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the peace rally will end at 3:00 p.m. This is a FREE event.
To be a part of this year’s Cycling 4 Peace ride as a rider, walker, runner or volunteer, complete the free registration form via this link:www.cycling4peace.us.
Also, we are accepting donations via our crowdfunding site through Labor Day. Donations are to a 501c3 and each will be honored with a special token of appreciation as well as a receipt for tax purposes: www.cycling4peace.causevox.com.
