The Chainlink

Hi all,
This site is really growing (up to 340 members now)!

I don't want to spam this site, but want to do some shameless self-promotion.

It was chilly and damp this morning. As the weather gets cooler, wetter and grimier dirt and salt are going to start to stick to every part of your bike whether you're riding fixed, singlespeed, gears, fenders or no fenders.

I make a biodegradeable, non-toxic degreaser locally (in Chicago) that is very useful for cleaning up your bike. It will penetrate your the nooks in your chain, and will clean out any grease and grit in any parts on your bike. It rinses clean with water and doesn't leave any residue. Simple Green and the stuff at Performance will clean your parts okay, but really aren't as effective as my degreaser. It will also help remove sticky stuff like the residue left over from stickers, and will clean engine blocks and printing presses.

Right now, I'm sponsoring the Half Acre Cycling Team and my product can be found in Rapid Transit, Smart Bike Parts and Yojimbos Garage.

If you're interested in my product, check out my site www.eldukedegreaser.com.

I'll be at some of the local CX races this season with some sample bottles of my product. Please come check out my site and stop and say hi if you see me. Thanks for your interest!

that doesn't seem to do the trick either.

Duke, It appears your website (www.eldukegreaser.com) is down?

Of course, that is actually what I meant :)
But no, it does not respond

The site is working today.

I'm heading to Blue City tonight to fetch a lock ring and a wrench. I'm hoping I'll remember to get some El Duke also. I wrote myself a note to remind myself, but of course, that will only work if I remember to look at the note...

If the product is half as great as the logo it will be fully awesome!

Just updated the www.eldukedegreaser last night, fixing some typos and old info. I feel like it looks pretty good although very simple.

We are on Flickr, Twitter and Facebook, too! Follow us, friend us and share any input that you may have about the product. Any feedback you have is greatly appreciated, it means a lot coming from our fellow Chicago cyclists.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
The site is working fine for me. I definitely would like to give this a try.
I think I just stumbled across a perfect match here, El Duke!!

I'm the Volunteer Manager at Active Transportation Alliance and the Green Grocer has named us as their local nonprofit to receive the benefits from their upcoming neighborhood party on Sunday.

I agreed to provide at least one volunteer to run their advertized "BIKEWASH".

There'll be two children helping out alongside us, too.

I thought that, rather than pushing out a volunteer ask for just one person for about two hours, I'd just do it myself or ask a star volunteer if they're interested. I think it's either 11-1pm or 12-2pm.
Well - ya interested?!?!

I could sweeten the deal with a nifty Bike Chicago 2009 tee, if you're interested. Ohh la la

That's the right site, it's based on our Mac. www.eldukedegreaser.com should work, though.

Volunteer? Would love to help out, but I have a number of things (ads to put together, family to attend to) this weekend, I'll let you know Jody.

Still same results here. Something wrong with the configuration at the domain registrar.
This works, although I'm not sure it's the correct site:

Nick, love the degreaser. However, with the red tip capped bottles, I recently had a bottle leak on the inside of my trunk bag while in transport.

Any thoughts to having a different bottle design in the future? Perhaps something with a flip up spout like Gojo or Orange Peelz bottles have?
Sorry I missed this. The red-tipped caps are gone. We moved temporarily to solid white caps but all the rest will have shampoo bottle type flip tops. I think they will work pretty well, even though they cost us significantly more.

Glad to hear that! I'll keep buying!
