Thanks for posting.  Those are some of the coolest bikes I've ever seen.

I'd like to give credit for this to one my 'cycle circle' of friends, thanks 'R'! He saw it on Chicagoist.com and shared it with me.

The workmanship and creativity on these 'rat bikes' was amazing during the post war era. The 'freak bikes' of today fall short of this. I also enjoyed the Chicago scenery of 1948 and the original Soldier field.
