Looks like you posted this just before I did.  Anyhow, anyone know if there's anything we can do to make this happen?  People to contact, etc?

Active Trans Broken Spoke Award goes to South Shore Line. According to this link maybe by 2021 we'll finally be able to bring a bicycle on one of their trains. 

"The runs were successful and gave a limited number of bicycle riders a chance to try them out and see how it will work when the railroad implements a regular weekend schedule of bicycle cars this spring"

Weekends, huh? Well, at least it's a start.

I'd really only want to use them on the weekend anyways.

I'm curious what they mean by select weekend trains.

My guess is that not every train would have the bike racks on it. Only certain trains at certain times of the day.

As for weekend vs. weekday, hopefully when the weekend trains prove to be very popular, NITCD will add racks to off-peak weekday trains.

That's some nice dedicated space for bikes!  I wish Metra would consider removing a few seats and do the same.
