Hi All,

After commuting on my cross check for the past 3 years I have finally buckled to the truth that it is just too big for me - I've always felt stretched on it.

I converted to flat (On One Mary) bars and V-brakes last year, and it's fine around town, but I have a little longer commute now and am missing getting down into the drops to beat the breeze.

It is a great bike - and so I'm interested in trading for another cross check or similar steel frame - but looking for a 50cm. Perhaps someone has done the reverse to me and is riding a bike too small?

This one is beef gravy brown. Zero dings/dents/rust. Normal love marks from locking up etc. Has always been kept indoors.

If you have a cross check or other steel frame in 50cm range and are up for a trade then let me know.

I have the gear to return it to stock config (canti breaks, salsa drops) - and I guess would consider selling for the right price.

ugh i wish i saw your ad just couple of days ago.  i just sold surly lht 50cm because it was too small for me.  how much for your cross-check?

what a bummer!

I haven't really come to an idea of a price. I have an old kona that i'm thinking of converting to a ghetto-cross machine - so if i get an attractive offer on the cross-check i'd accelerate that conversion. What'd you sell the 50cm for? Full bike, or just frame?

it was a full bike - it's still on this site somewhere in the market place - 2014 surly lht with fenders, rack, brooks saddle etc.  i sold it for 1k on ebay (minus the shipping fees).

Can we get a few more pictures?

Thanks.
