Nice riding this week.  Still, I wish we were in the 80's...

Gene- excellent, beautiful work :)

I rode today. Lovely weather. Would have been better if I hadn't slipped on a petal and wacked my sensitive area on my seat pretty good :(

You really gotta watch out for those flowers, they're really out to get you... (I assume you meant "pedal" - I know the feeling! Some scars on my shins/ankles from past incidents...)

Ahaha yes. I blame Gene and his flowers. All his fault. :P

I am sorry, Michelle.

I rode this morning and encountered my first really unpleasant driver of the past few months.  I was minding my own business on Clark Street, riding in a straight line, in a polite manner, obeying every traffic law that I can think of, but riding a couple feet to my left than normal, to avoid a nasty bunch of sloppily patched and crumbling potholes.  At this moment there is no traffic, and plenty of space for a truck to pass me, no problem.  An older, tan SUV passes me without much space between me and my physical safety and lays on the horn.  At the next cross street there is an older woman standing on the curb at a bus stop.  He (I saw him as he was turning) lays on the horn for her to get out of his way (she as I, was not actually in his way, just near it) as he turns right with out any turn signal.  She yells at him "turn signal!", and he must have mumbled something like "what'd you say?", because she yelled it again, "TURN SIGNAL!!!".  Apparently, this guy drives around honking at people supposing that gives him instant right-of-way.  Oh, and passes other cars on the right, in the parking lane, since that's where he was after he passed me, just before honking at the nice old lady.

A beeautiful day for a ride.

Great minds think alike? :-)
