I am new to this fourm but it seems strang to me that the LATE Ride is not on the calendar. I am missing something?

Sorry I did not complete the spell check.

Makes me feel less guilty about riding without paying :) I provide my own snacks and SAG support and don't attend the Buckingham Fountain activities, so it's not like I am using any of the resources they paid $$ for. I know, it sounds like I'm making excuses. Sometimes you have to go Pirate. In my defense, I do support several other biking organizations and volunteer for some of the other activities.

The calendar is self-service. Rides presented by organizations that are connected to the bike community are more likely to end up in the calendar. Friends of the Parks is not connected to or interested in Chicago Cycling beyond the money they can suck out of it once a year, so probably doesn't know (or care) about thechainlink.org.

You are free to enter a listing for it though, if you want to support it.

Looks like in past years it was members who simply posted it. Aaron feel free to post or reach out to the organizers to post it.

I've posted a June 21-22 2014 event, awaiting approval.  http://www.thechainlink.org/events/l-a-t-e-ride

The route varies little year to year.
