Do any Chainlink friends know riders that would be interested in a 650 mile solidarity bike ride for worker justice from May 28th-June 6th?

Tour de Fairness (www.tourdefairness.com) is a 650-mile cycling tour and pilgrimage across America’s heartland that raises awareness about the oppressive wages, workplace standards and conditions that keep low-wage workers and their families in poverty.

A group of up to 10 riders will pedal from Chicago to the Walmart shareholder’s meeting in Bentonville, Ark. in a show of solidarity for the OURWalmart members who are courageously standing up to the nation’s largest retail employer, demanding better wages, dignity and respect on the job.

Solidarity riders will have the opportunity to meet with workers and community supporters along the way. The solidarity bike ride will raise funds to support Interfaith Worker Justice’s efforts to organize the faith community’s support for Walmart workers and others in low-wage jobs.

Hi Serge!

Great to hear of your interest. Let us know if you can get off work and check out more information on www.tourdefairness.com! :)

Would love to join, if I can get time off work . . . unlikely, though.

Am I correct that there are no arrangements for getting the riders back to Chicago from Bentonville, Arkansas?

Hi Kevin C. Yes, you are correct. Though travel back from Bentonville is included in the estimated cost.
