In celebration of Daniel Burnham's 1909 Plan of Chicago, several groups are supporting a 100-mile ride from Lake Forest, IL to Michigan City, IN on Saturday, June 6th. This is a casual ride (avg. speed 12mph), and plans to take advantage of our regional trail system.
You DON'T have to do the whole 100 miles, and in fact, many won't. The idea is to join and leave at your leisure - either 100 miles or 100 feet.
There will be a timed cue sheet on the route and what time the ride plans to pass each location. If we're early, we'll wait, but if we are on time or running late, we will simply ride through. There will be a few rest stops along the way - with or without refreshments. You are strongly advised to bring your own sustenance and repair gear...this is truly a "no frills" ride.
Please visit the official website for details:

We ask that you freely "register" by emailing to regionride@gmail.com, and let us know where you plan to start and finish.
Thanks...and hope to see you out there!
