I don't know if they're looking for more riders. I'll ask my brother, but I think most of them know each other and train together (I'm the outsider).

Dave: Do you know their cost and if they're looking for more riders? I'm looking around on behalf of 3-5 riders including myself. We are going to likely be on the Illinois Charter too but then need a group for the weeklong sag.

There are some very inexpensive ways of doing the ride.

I would love to do it, but it's a costly ride when you add everything up.
I will be doing some less expensive rides this year.
Day 0: Drive to the town you want to end in.
Day 1: Ride to the previous town and camp with the incoming riders.
Day 2: Ride to your vehicle and drive home.

I'd love to ride a couple of days but I probably couldn't make the entire ride due to the time commitment required. Has anyone done the ride solo and/or just a couple days of riding. I'm wondering if it would be worth the drive out there, coordinating sleeping, and getting a ride back to only ride a couple days.
Also planning to ride and take the Bicycle Illinois charter out and back. I'm registered with a group but we don't have our own SAG support or anything, just going with the RAGBRAI camping & luggage services.
I think this was just too simple for me to think of. That would make a lot of sense
