Back on the studs today....
This time of year can be the most dangerous as we stop expecting ice patches. My worst (only?) fall because of ice was on a path in Humboldt Park in April a few years ago.

Good thing you did not have to ride on Kinzie between Wells and the river! Apparently we are not in the "it will melt eventually" mode of clearing snow. I saw tire tracks in the bike lane, but most of us were in the car lane where it was comparatively safe.

I rode about 3 or 4 miles to work in the AM but chickened out and threw it on the bus for the commute home. I made sure to sit up front of the bus to keep my eye on the bike. Wilson is really not a fun street to ride on.
I thought it gets warmer in the month of May? I guess the ground hog was right.
So, in the "you can't win" category, I got scolded by a driver this morning for letting him take his turn at a stop sign. *sigh*
nice ride in except a taxi that thought me making a left turn was totally rude. I mean, he had to go around me... like, what was I thinking? honked, sped up and swerved within inches of me. Still, lovey day for cycling.
Yes.
March 26, 2014.
18 degrees when I started my ride.
