Riding to work & having your job pay you!

There was a discussion about this I believe back in the winter. Were your employer pays you thorogh taxes or something in this line. It had to do with the I.R.S. & your job. If somebody can help refresh me on this. Thanks

My employer pays me!

...but I work at a bike shop. It's mostly for publicity. Ha. Oh well, the money is still green! =)

It's not through taxes though... he does it 'bonus style.' $5 a ride, which for me is 40 miles round trip.

They just implemented this at my job. We get a $20 reimbursement for biking to work every month. Currently we are on the honor system but HR said that in the future the government might require maintenance receipts ect... It's Great!!! It's funny how many walkers are complaining about not getting reimbursed making the excuse that they need proper tennis shoes.
