If your bike is full of winter grime, salt and gunk Turin Bikes on Damen will wash it, and properly lube it for $25 bucks

It only took about 2 hours and my CX bike looks like new.

Yikes, I was going to wash my bike tomorrow and then I saw this. Really tempting. My birthday is Monday so maybe it'll be my birthday gift to myself. I just need to find a place around there to cool my heels for a couple hours.

Any thoughts on waxing? I was also thinking about waxing my bike, thinking it may provide a little extra protection against the salt.

I wax mine pretty often using a high quality automotive wax, but using pledge multi surface (in the blue can) is a great quick way to both clean and protect the metal and paintwork on your bike. once I am done I wipe the rims and brake pads with rubbing alcohol to make sure that there is no wax preventing me from stopping.

There is the RAIL right across the street also a couple great places to eat within a block or so

Awesome. Guess I know where I'll be tomorrow afternoon. Thanks! And for the tip about using rubbing alcohol on the rims and brakes. I hadn't thought about that.

Rooster took care of my bike on Friday and my bike looks great! Getting ready for the commute to work on Monday morning!

yay michael

also BREWCAMP is across the street - everything homebrew related (my newest hobby - yummy)

Is this deal still on? How long does it take?

The bike wash is still on - it takes about an hour or so to do the work and tomorrow's schedule is pretty open.  We should be able to start working on it right away if you can get in around opening time (11am).    We have a little bar area to hang out at as well if you have some time to kill and want to see the cleaning process in action.

i wish there was a bike cleaning station at the bike swap tomorrow.  if only i thought of it sooner id set something up!

good call. Bike washes this summer???  I'm in... that is if someone organizes it ))

This summer i might be working with Kevin and Lee. Will, ofcourse, post if so.

I went to get my bike cleaned at Turin today. They did an amazing job with my filthy, snow and salt encrusted bike  at a great price.  Very friendly guys and great service..I will be back.
