thats the only route ive heard of anyone taking. one of these days ill make that trip. its almost 200 miles. im not sure of the road cond. either.
seems like there are plenty of parallel county routes if we encounter any snags. I think we'll be alright, but you never know with construction or whatever. hopefully the weather cooperates too.
are you planing to proselytize some car drivers at the race?

that's not my bag... plus I dig cars.
Remember when you had about a hundred friends to go to the races with???
I have driven on Rt. 52 and have found it to be as smooth as butter...
When in Naptown check out Phylis's musical Inn!!!
I have a friend who ran from Chicago to Indianapolis last year (crazy I know)....but here's the route he used, it keeps off any major roads.

I'm actually planning on making this ride myself. From Rogers Park to Indianapolis. I'm new to this long of a ride though. Can one of you tell me about this rt 41?
Thanks
Bummer. Just last week it occurred to me that nobody I know has ever done a ride to this... seems odd. Maybe next year?
