Let us know how it feels going home. :-)

Last night went I went for a professional bike fitting. My trusty steed was adjusted to include the new measurements.

This morning, my LHT all of a sudden felt like a speed demon. The wind in the back ay have helped too.

LOL

The winds around O'Hare can get brutal in the winter.  Ever considered a fairing and bar mitts?  I've been using 'em for a few years, now (mtb and 'bent) and love 'em.

my last friday commute to the burbs. the north bound uphill ride in wood dale was rather miserable.

Where did you go if you don't mind sharing? Seems you are happy with your results.

Get-a-grip Cycles. The fitting was much more comprehensive than I expected. We talked about my needs, and he looked at my unique physical limitations.

He set up the bike how he believes will work for me, and talked about other actions I could take to improve my riding (things like improving my pedal stroke, stretching, etc.).

The bike feels comfortable, despite me being seated a lot more forward.

It is costly, but I think it was worth it for me.

I had a excellent fitting at Iron Cycles two years ago. I considered it expensive at the time, but it was probably the best bike-money I've ever spent. My knees feel way better now, and I increased my understanding of proper fit and what to look for in a frame.

If you ride a lot it is worth it for just about anyone.  Just taking a look at your knee extension and KNOPS position is a good start but no where enough to get you really comfortable on a bike.

I put on my bar mitts last night. A bit too warm for them this morning, but I think I might appreciate them on the way home riding into the fierce north wind...

I have to ask: what does KNOPS mean?

Really nice shots, Gene.  You've probably been asked before, but do you stop and shoot these, or take 'em on the fly?
