All Selle Anatomica saddles are on sale for $99 (+shipping)
Made in Wisconsin leather saddles for the lowest price I’ve seen.
I am not affiliated with them, but I did buy one.

That saddle looks like it might bite back...
I can finally use my 312 saddle cover that I got from Bike To Work Week meet :)
BTW, did anyone also get the saddle sauce?
You're gonna go for a ride in the rain, and you're gonna get wet! I predict!

You can use Pecard's leather dressing or Red Wing, etc. Brooks Proofide will work.

First ride with the Sella-X this morning:
Now that I removed my Brooks, I'm going to lace, soak, and reshape it to see if I can bring it back to life.
My bikes currently have b17s. I had a selle for a while but I don't know if it's the design or if the rails are not as strong as on the brooks but the thing buckled in a fairly short amount of time.
Yeah I'm a big fella but the b17s haven't had this problem in all of the years.

I have been curious about these saddles, but haven't wanted to pay $150+ to try one. For this price, I think it's time to give it a shot...
I've always used brooks B-17's, or back in the day, the equivalent thing from Ideale. Can anyone here tell me how the Selle Anatomica compares to these?
Did anyone order their leather bar tape? At $39, it is just over half the price of VO and Brooks leather bar tape.
Would be interested to hear experiences.
I haven't used the saddle yet, since it is going on my new build. I did however buy the bar tape and installed it yesterday
I used waxed thread and followed these instructions to tie it off:

I did get it with the bar tape. It's cheaper per oz than Proofide, but is a fluid whereas Proofide is a cream. Haven't used it yet.

I estimate that I've put about 200 miles on the SA. This is definitely the most comfortable saddle I've had on any bike. I haven't needed to adjust the tension yet, but I have played with the fore/aft and tilt a couple times. I found it comfortable in a couple different configurations as opposed to needing to find the elusive "sweet spot" on my old brooks. The SA feels roomier than the b17, with a more usable space on the nose and on the rivets.
The finish has developed some minor "bubbling" in non wear areas and you can see some little dime sized dimples that have been formed under my sitbones. I guess I'm not worried about the bubbling, but if it gets worse I'll probably reach out to SA for an explanation. I didn't use any saddle cream, and the saddle hasn't seen any major precipitation except when I'm off the saddle at stoplights during rain/snow.

Anybody else have something to report? Anybody have any experience with other laminated saddles from Rivet or Gyes?
