I have a need for an evening coffee stop somewhere along Western Ave.
Last week I ended up getting off the Western bus at Belmont and walking to Leavitt-- very bad Starbucks... and a mile+ walk carrying an instrument...
Anyplace to get a 'real' espresso drink between the Pink line and Irving?

+Ipsento as well.
Lots of bike racks out front!
Star Lounge brews Dark Matter and Dark Matter roasts right on Western just south of Chicago. They're open to the public for caffeination during the day but they seem to close fairly early in the evening.
I have been to Star Lounge before, good place.
I don't see any mention of a presence on Western in a search-- is that something new?
Their roaster is the one on Western right around the corner from Star Lounge and their hours are even more limited than I originally intimated. http://www.yelp.com/biz/dark-matter-coffee-chicago-3

Glad to know about it, but can't imagine ever frequenting it unless still out from the night before...

On Chicago about 1.5 blocks west of Western.
My wife likes McDonald's coffee. Get some freshly made. Not a bad deal.
I'm back in the same boat tonight. I never did see any evidence of a Starbuck's being built at Roscoe and Western?
