I am in need of a 26" rear wheel to be used for a fixed gear commuter. Rear spacing is 135. They are near impossible to find unless I do a custom build. Let me know if you have anything.

Wheel build time.
Getting all the pieces together takes more time than the actual building. First wheel build following the instructions of some author whose thought processes are not yours takes perhaps two hours. Or makes you crazy if you're just not a wheelbuilder. Or happens in 30 minutes if you have a little talent. When you think you've got it laced right you could ride it over to my wheelstand in Evanston for final tension/dish/true. Another 30 minutes plus travel.
If anyone has a 26" wheel with a 6 bolt disc hub I would be interested in that also. I recently read about the option of the bolt on fixed cog. The only spare wheels I have laying around are centerlock and I don't feel like spending 40 bucks on a conversion kit when I can maybe just get another wheel. Let me know if you have anything.
Still looking?
I have one. Brand new, never mounted, built by Marcus at Yojimbos. It's a WTB speed disc rim, Formula hub, I think cartridge bearings, but I've never looked. Story is....
I got hit by a car near work and the driver's insurance agent sent out an adjuster who went to the nearest shop to get an estimate, which happened to be Yojimbo's. As you rightly noted, he didn't have a pre-built one so got the estimate for a like-kind replacement for my Bianchi MUSS. It wasn't cheap, $225. But they cut the check and I had Marcus build it for his troubles and have kept it around for a few years to be used when the OE wheel finally fails, which it has yet to do. I trued up the OE wheel and it's not perfect but rolls sufficiently for my winter bike.
I'm thinking of trying to sell the MUSS and have been debating about which wheel to put on it. I won't ask to get what it cost, but I'm not going to just give it away. Again, if you're interested, send me a friend request and we can take it from there. Thanks and good luck.
If you're interested, let me know and I can send you pictures or you can come take a look, I'm in Ravenswood.
