Hey Chainlinkers, our national nonprofit partner PeopleForBikes is doing a photo shoot June 18-20 in Chicago and is seeking people who use their bikes for everyday life.
Who better to tell than the 9,000+ Chainlink people that bike?
So, if you can model to help them capture beautiful images of people riding a bike for everyday purposes, please sign up!
Here's a copy/paste of the sign up page:
National bike nonprofit PeopleForBikes is conducting a photoshoot in Chicago, IL June 18-20. We're looking for local bike lovers to model for us! The objective of the shoot is to capture beautiful images of people riding a bike for everyday purposes. We'll pay $50 for each 2-hour session you work. These images will be used by a bicycling nonprofit that is working to make bicycling safer and better in Chicago and around the country! So, even though the pay isn't amazing, it's a very good cause. We're looking for people of all ages, looks, and ethnicities—singles, couples, families, business professionals, kids, etc. If you are interested, please complete the form below. If you have questions or other suggestions for our shoot, email sarah@bikesbelong.org.
Again, you can sign up here.
Thanks so much,

Just giving this one last bump...it's still on for this weekend, please sign up if you can!
Thanks much,

They might get more turnout if they actually did this on a weekend. A Tuesday-Thursday photo shoot is difficult for those of us who have to be at work.
Tuesday-Thursday is MY weekend, obviously, in my over-tired Bike to Work Week state.
You're probably right, but I'm guessing they got pinned into those days for reasons out of they're control.

Does this mean I've got to give notice immediately? Or can I wait until the first day of the shoot?

First you should try calling in sick. Got any PTO days left?

They were probably overwhelmed with your model-like qualities.

I signed up, with my goods looks and all. Haven't heard a thing since then. Makes you wonder if they are serious?
I haven't heard anything either. I figured I must be out of their demographic. Or maybe it was the wings.
I'm definitely not feeling too great...

They definitely won't want me as model. I haven't looked like a model since... hm... never (okay, stop sounding like Morrissey)
I signed up, too, and nothing, fyi.
Not taking this personally, since I feel and look great on a bike.
